But the explanation was wrong. The human eye can't see x-rays and neither gamma rays. What they saw was very intense visible light. If you take a very strong flashlight and cover the outlet opening with your hand and put that very close to your eyes, you will be able to see your bones and blood veins too.

The "world enders" are no more in service. They were also always to heavy and big to be practical in deployed weapon systems. That's why they have weapons in service that are equipped with hydrogen bombs in the medium range of around 300 to 1200 kt today. This is still much more than the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb which had about 15-21 kt, but much less than the "world enders" in the 10 to 100 Mt range. The big problem is, they have much more of these medium range bombs today and thus can destroy more than just one big bombs. They are also much more precise.

@7own878 These two bombs never used fusion. They used fission. The Hydrogen Bomb was developed later.

@bloq6758 It would exist. You can't keep the knowledge about nuclear physics unknown.

@CeoLogJM biological weapons are worse than nuclear weapons. The nuclear ones are definitely not the peak..
5
@suedeashton7313 The first ones were very big and heavy with low yield, no safety features and difficult to deploy. To make them stronger, safer to use and easier to deploy, they needed to develop new ones.

All soldiers are wearing camouflage uniforms except this one at 0:32:48. He's an easy target with his light blue shawl.

German Girls do NOT flirt.

@Fish_Feet Search for "Poseidon" it's a russian underwater drone equipet with a very high yield hydrogene bomb in the range of a Tsar bomb. That's what they have developed in the recent years.

@coaxill4059 There is only one way to get rid of nuclear bombs. You need to use the fission material for the worlds power supply.
1
@Audio_Jesus This theory of nuclear winter only applies to the great doomsday weapons. The reason for this is that the smaller bombs are unable to suck up all the dust at very high altitudes.

@coaxill4059 We will never run out of nuclear fuel. With modern Gen 5 reactors, like the comming Dual Fluid Reactor we will be able to supply the world with Energy until the Sun becomes a red star.

@coaxill4059 My nickname is older than Vulkan. And there is a layer of an OpenGL implementation that runs on top of Vulkan. Thus OpenGL will stay.

@coaxill4059 The Dual Fluid Reactor will be able to use Uranium 238. The old pressure reactors can't do that. The nateriul isotope signature is 99,27 % U238 and only 0,72 % U235. Thus there is plenty of material, that can be used, which isn't and can't be used at the moment with todays reactors. And the DFR can also fission all transuranic elements in nuclear waste. Which leads to the consequence, that the nuclear waste problem of long-lasting nuclear waste is solved with this reactor. It's also much more power efficient than old pressurized reactors. Removing uranium from seawater isn't difficult, that can be done in Seawater desalination plants and it should be done, because drinking Uranium isn't a good idea.

@coaxill4059 There is a tech talk video available on YT called "DFR: the Dual-Fluid Reactor - Jan-Christian Lewitz @ ThEC2018". It's in English and if you want know more about this reactor, i can highly recomment it.
