There is a massive shortage of skilled and unskilled workers. If you’re too useless to get a job or go to school then not much will help you. As the piece says people escape go Blackpool because they have problems - well sort your effing problems out and make better choices. The only people I think should get supported are the genuinely disabled and the elderly.

@edenbreckhouse Rubbish there are loads of unskilled jobs in farming fruit picking hotels restaurants - they are all crying out for people. But because importing immigrants is the go to position the wages can be kept low. Even so there is NOTHING stopping anyone getting work. The benefits underclass think they’re too good to work when really they’re too thick and lazy to work. You start at the bottom but that can lead to more experience and better opportunities.

@shaz7132 They eat out all the time or get Deliveroos. They don’t understand cash because they’ve always had smartphones to do everything. I’ve seen it for myself. They have NO CLUE how to budget, plan or go without because they’ve never had to. This state of plenty has been completely at odds with 99.9% of human history yet these kids act as if it’s a right and it’s normal. It’s why they care so much about pronouns and ‘self expression’ on TikTok because they are making up struggles they don’t have.

@Captain Blacktooth Denmark and Sweden are moving to the right because globalist leftism and mass immigration are destroying their countries. Sweden and Denmark are both capitalist countries - they just use the tax that capitalism generates to provide a good welfare system - which worked well in a high trust homogenous culture - but not so much now

@zippyzoo-z5t France is in the centre of Europe so gets all the crisscrossing traffic between European countries. Brits have to drive through France to get anywhere else but France is counted as an entry point for tourism . Much as I love France that doesn’t make it the destination of choice

@Caroline.123 Global TV broadcast rights alone would have been 10s of millions. Lots and lots of Queen merchandise sold. Documentary films. Uniforms, flags, flowers all have to be sourced. People spent money going to London to be there. Hotels, restaurants catered for them. All hotels were full.

How many Pakistanis send money home instead of spending it here? How many Somalian immigrants should we expect to have an instant middle class life by dint of setting foot in Britain?
