because “YouTube has banned some Russian political channels” and thereby is pursuing an anti-Russian policy, so now, according to the government, people should switch to Youtube analogues: Rutube, which is simply a dead copy of YouTube, whose most popular videos don’t even get 100k views, VK (once a popular social network, but now a Russian analogue of Facebook, in which the only good thing you can do is listen to music and look for 18+ content) and Platforma, which one Russian YouTuber decided to test and started streaming on it, but after the stream was visited 600 people, the site stopped working. Instead of correcting the mistake, since this project is sponsored by the government with hundreds of millions of rubles, the administration simply banned the YouTuber. The government also proposes to introduce a law according to which every blogger with 10,000 or more subscribers will be required to enter all his personal data (place of residence, passport details, etc.) into some kind of register, otherwise he will not be able to earn money from advertising and monetization. But considering that in our country any company sells databases to just anyone, you can simply forget about anonymity on the Internet. Anyone can find your passport and residential address and knock on your door or worse. The funny thing is that the deputies promoting these laws themselves use VPNs and use Tik Tok and Instagram, which have been banned for 2 years.
