  1. People who have high credit score, don’t owe money to credit card companies. They just pay all they owe monthly. People who owe credit card companies also default. Then costs go up. If people want 10% ceiling there won’t be credit cards available to masses. It will become a niche product.

  4.  @laurenmacaulay1712  I come from a country that credit does not exist. Credit is an enabler for average person to afford a car. Otherwise in my country you have to pay cash, and so cars are for wealthy. I can say the same about houses and other goods. Credit is a loan and whomever is making it has to have motivation to make the loan, so don't be critical of the root cause of American success.
