  18. My wife has a Ridgeline from 2019 with six speed transmission. Pretty good vehicle. Couple recalls with fuel tank and hood latch and rear truck hatch. One night the fan was not going off and we had to disconnect fuse to then replace the next day, otherwise really solid. We have 44.000 miles on it.

This truck’s ride is much better than yours and handles Better because it has coil springs instead of your leaf springs. This truck is LEds standard. This truck has great 8-speed transmission that doesn’t shift up and down like your six speed. This truck has much better infotainment than yours. This truck is faster. I stop. You get the point……..

  28. My sister has a 2009, now it has over 200,000 miles. No engine or transmission issues. Starter and alternator gave up in last 2-3 years. Has started eating a little oil recently, and dealer just recommended changing oil every 3,000 miles and nothing else. Just great vehicles.

  37. The Venza definitely has a more Lexus vibe. Looks a bit feminine but smooth and luxurious. RAV-4 is just a Toyota. Both fine vehicles, but I think Venza brings a level of premium ness that RAV or even Highlander don’t.

The eco least engines are worthless in long run. Ask yourself why F150 sells more (because the V8 is there). while Expedition is not even close to GM sales of big SUVs. nuff said

  91.  @brianwinkler8183  I am sure every time your hear someone in a 6.2 liter Vette engine in a Tahoe (soon to be available in RST) as well as Denali and High Country, you wish you had that instead of your Hoover vaccume cleaner engine noise. Check your engine oil quality vs. a GM engine oil after 5000 miles. The Ford ecoboost engines oil quality look dirty and tired. Good Ford dealer mechanics prefer by vast ratio the Coyote vs. ecoboost in F150. Ford is having to do a desperate redesign of Expedition in order to compete with GM triplets. In my part of the country (southeast, I live in Georgia) you can not find big GMs on the lots. Absolute none. If you do, they are carrying market adjustment of near 5,000-10,000. Expeditions are readily available in southeast (most at MSRP or slightly less). The demand speaks the truth. The interior is luxurious even in Tahoe. In Expedition you don't even get leather until you go to Limited. In Tahoe you get it in LT and above. Instead you get vinyl (Active X) in addition to cloth in base base. It is what it ease, you are a fan boy. I have a Mustang GT (2014 pre facelift) with Coyote port injected with Ford racing 4.10 gear ratio and a Vette (2016) in addition to daily my Grand Cherokee and wife's Ridgeline. I am replacing the Grand Cherokee with a Tahoe RST with 6.2. I love the Coyote and the manual transmisison that thing revs. The Vette is a differnt animal. Low end grunt. Neither has had a bit of problems, they both purr. But I die before I get a turbo in anything but a diesel.

  100. I own a Pentastar Jeep with 106,000 miles. That engine and transmission combo for the V6 are solid. Nothing wrong with it. I have had other issues with the Jeep but never the engine and transmission. I wholeheartedly recommend the V6.

Grand Cherokee is more capable but nowhere near as reliable as a Honda. Koreans don’t have a V6 two row. Blazer is a joke. Absolutely nailed it. Toyota your turn. 4-runner and Wrangler are not good enough on road.

But Kia and Hyundai have a huge reliability problem with engine fires and free engine replacement offers, until then, if you are spending good money long term, this is no competition to tried and true reliability of Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. You are minimizing the problem with engine fires and replacements. This is a huge problem for Hyundai and kia.

New Durango will be built on that platform also. Perhaps a little behind in production for Grand Cherokee, because Durango costs less than a new model. What you don;t understand, and people like you, is that new means more cost. We can't afford autos that keep going up in cost to have latest digital instrument gauge. Who cares? Or latest autonomous feature, who cares? I drive like a man not like a little scared pansy. Durago in base form is competent with 3.6 V6, or more and more and more powerful versions. No need to modernize and put new car out there that costs a ton more. All the production tooling has already been depreciated and all the bugs worked out. It is the Toyota model and is working for Durango and Dodge as they are consumer reports recommended. Instead of German junk that is new every year and you can't own after three years. I had a BMW 530 and nothing but problems and cost of fixing. My 10 years old Grand Cherokee just keeps on going.
