  1. Early this year I had tremendous pain in my back and calf and left foot. Sciatic nerve. I have high deductible insurance with Aetna, best plan my fortune 50 company offers. $6,000 deductible. I went through months of physical therapy, steroid injection in spine, pain killer medication, and x-ray and MRI. Non orthopedic Doctor passed me to orthopedic surgeon who approved and agreed with surgery. I was scheduled, and Aetna did not approve for two months. I had to get my employer involved to finally get approval when Emory university hospital had to reschedule my surgery. After surgery i am 90% approved,. My experience with Aetna shows why people hate the companies. The only service we pay for and don’t get service promised.
