  1. Seems like Chevy is going for function over form with the 2500. But for all that money a bigger screen and some auto cruise features for this high end trim seem appropriate. I like your nuanced and logical view on ride and pros and cons. These beasts serve a purpose for towing for those that need it. I feel like this category of vehicle will be difficult to replace with current state of electric battery.
