  9.  @TaiViinikka  very well said, In the case of GM, they already killed their prior electric car (EV1) once. They even just killed their hybrid (Volt). I think one thing mainline auto manufacturers don't get is no one associates an Audi, or a Mercedes or a BMW or Ford or Toyota with electric. If I were them, I make a new brand and then lump every electric car under it. For example, Ford could come up with a Edison brand. Then they can have Edison sedan, coupe, SUV, truck. Until then, the snob appeal of a Tesla wins every day. People know what Tesla stands for. What does Audi eTron stand for? It is still a Audi. And it goes back to your point, mainline manufacturers are still hesitant to lose profitability of their ICE vehicles. Meantime, Tesla is killing it.

  59. If something is done by BMW wrong, doesn't make it right for others to copy(aee noise part of comment). You can defend all you want about 2.0 turbo fuel economy, for majority, linearity of driving in stop and go traffic is where its at which no turbo 2.0 I have ever driven provides.

  92. A Corvette looks more special inside and out and doesn’t share it’s interior bits and pieces with other GMs. A Mustang feels more special too as it doesn’t look like other Fords. The i8 is BMW’s flagship. This 8 series is just a six masquerading as a 8. And I hate to have that engine and gimmicky entertainment after warranty. It is exact reason why M5s with V10s can be had cheap because they can’t be fixed unless you spend 20k on engine fixing.

  100.  @bradleyscarreviews  X7 and GLS are just longer unibody versions of X5 and GLE. You can not tow with unibody and Godforbid you get in accident, they are totalled. Body on frame is for towing boy but you can stick to your city slicker unibodies
