  1. I'm from Portugal. I considered myself blessed to have witnessed the transition from my mother's generation (50s) to mine (70s). Women in my mother's generation had the body count of 0-1. They all knew how to cook, clean, take care of kids, be a stay at home mother. They all had long lasting marriages. However they had low education. Now from my generation forward, girls had access to school, universities etc. What I witnessed was, daughters refusing to learn from their mother's, how to cook, clean because in their minds, they were going to earn so much money they could hire a domestic to do it for them. Fast forward to today, they work, most are not married, some quit or are on the verge of quitting their degrees because they want to do something easier. They don't know how to cook, clean, they don't want kids or if they do, the parents need to help. Also none is good enough for them. So, yes, it is the woman's fault. If the same standards that women have today would be applied to my father's or even grandfather's generation, none of them would get married. None had 6 feet tall, 6 figures income or 6 pack. All they had was a job and means to survive. Also, should men be shamed for being: mechanics, lorry drivers, fisherman, fireman, policeman, Plummers, electricians or any other profession that doesn't make 6 figures income ? Last time I check those are vital roles in our society. The UK, currently where I work has a shortage of lorry drivers because they are treated like sh1t and with Brexit the Eastern European lorry drivers went to other EU countries. Men have now to work 10 times as harder in order to be able to access a woman 10 times as worse than their mother's or grandmothers. My personal opinion: Western countries (the ones with good economies) are only good to earn money. Marriage is better elsewhere.
