  1. In my case, after being unemployed for 2 years in Portugal due to the construction house sector, collapse from 2012 to 2014, I'm grateful to be able to have a stable job in the UK. It's minimum pay, but it still was almost double of what I was earning at the Architecture office as an assistant. Now, that amount is almost triple after nearly a decade. In my opinion, graduations are overrated and are only worth it for the families that can pay for them and have already a job in place waiting for the graduate. In the end, it's a question of offer and demand. For example, during the 2000s, the areas that were oversaturated with students in Portugal were: Journalism and Architecture.
