In my opinion: they are for a rude awakening. There's a lot of men's movements right now. Something that didn't existed before. The way I see men going forward is: some like me, will not want to have to do anything with women at all. Others, will learn to use women for what they are worth and once they are done with them, discard them as a used condom. Of course many will still fall for women, however, I believe they will be less and less. Because women, particularly Western women are burning good men, through a very fast rate. As the old say goes: he who plants, winds, harvest thunderstorms and some older women are starting to realize that. Being single may be unimportant for people like Sharon Stone and Kim Kardashian but the average women, particularly the one that betrayed your friend, will realise how cruel men can be, once women are old and undesirable.

As people often write: marriage is transactional. These women think, that their box and presence, should be enough. They are wrong. Other women, particularly outside western countries offer better deals. These women will realise this, after: they are divorced, old and undesirable. I say, let natural selection, do it's job.
