For me, women used to stay in marriages, because they needed the husband to provide for them. In fact in ancient Muslim societies, my co-worker stated that men were allowed to marry 4 wives, because men died in battles and the widows, were left without a provisioner. There's too much incentive to not marry in western countries. For both men and women. For men, why marry one woman, if you can have easy access to multiple women, when you are established in life (Leonardo Di Caprio)? For women, they can earn their own money, have as many sexual partners as they want. A man is only seen as a upgrade to their lifestyle. This is why they all want high earners that make the same if not preferably more than them. Why stay married, if they are rewarded for walking away and possible upgrade ? In my case, I'm not interested in having kids and a woman, brings nothing in to my life. I can cook, clean, take care of myself. Not only that, I save more money that way and I can help my mother financially. If I was married I would have to work more hours, spend more money and there's things, I would not be able to afford, like buying a new laptop, with cash ready.
