  1. That’s kind of the point Richard is making, Taxes are taken after the government instructs the BofE (our central bank) to create money. Taxes do not pay for anything. Its main purpose is to prevent inflation. Have a watch of one of Richard’s MMT explainers on this channel.

  2. Hi Richard, one of the main issues with the current government is they still go to private banks for money, not the BofE. So any government spend will be at terrible terms.
