@TimComley the civil service have stated that the underlying principles the costing were made using were created by Conservative SPADs. It wasn’t an impartial report, which is how Sunak presented it. If it wasn’t an outright lie, it was extremely disingenuous.

@CmdrTobs Sunak made a surprise election announcement that caught everyone, even Sunak’s umbrella, unprepared. No party has a manifesto published yet, and yet you single out Labour when the Tories who could literally choose the date of the announcement haven’t either? Not sure why you are defending barefaced lies?

@CmdrTobs by investment, they was not talking stocks and shares, they are talking equipment, facilities and infrastructure. This creates jobs and drives consumption which in turn drives the economy, this is why Bidens IRA has been effective. It’s allowing Americans to buy products driving the economy, which in turn feeds growth.
