  3. He said he would act impartially on taking the post of speaker, which is supposed to be neutral and impartial. The decision was extremely partisan as it saved Starmer from an embarrassing rebellion. That’s why Flynn said he’s a liar.

  4.  @royboy565 This is grown up constitutional issue. The impartiality of the speaker is more important than any single issue as it affect all issues before the house, and is a foundational principle of our democracy. I think it’s pretty clear if you are neutral that Hoyle over stepped the mark, and it was also clear to the speaker who apologised. It’s worrying that the speaker can be so influenced tbh.
