This story isn’t a laughing matter but it made me laugh. I was once proud to be British. No longer. He’s not a exception in Parliament, just representative of a number of Conservative MP who’s constituent should ask, is this really better than Labour / Green/ Liberal Democrat? Unfortunately most voters aren’t interested, and thus we get more of the same. They say the same old excuses that they as bad as each other, but really the voter never actually checked in the first place.

@clivet3252 I assume you are a right winger as you seem to have significant difficulty putting the blame on the party in power. The Tories are the government in power and have been for a long time. Why the deflection?

@richardlewis7498 again? They are no where bad as the Tories. Especially with the current bunch. If you were comparing with Majors government then I would agree with you to a point (though economically the Tories have repeatedly trashed the UK economy by themselves, while Labour only were part of a global cause). I mean, you realise that child poverty was pretty much eliminated in the UK and the NHS had a high approval rating? You could even see a doctor same day. So all you have is the second Iraq War. Oddly, you have no problem with the first gulf war which only happened because Saddam was green lit into invading Kuwaiti?
