You missed Audie Murphy, one of the most highly decorated US soldiers of WW2. if you don’t know his military career, it’s definitely worth a read.

@noblemann4898 he was medically unfit I believe. He spent the war making propaganda films instead and probably did more for the war effort than if he had just held a rifle.

@simonsmith1974 and not just the one time. He was a prolific hero who survived the war. Unfortunately the horrors claimed him a while later.
