  1.  @pcat1378  then explain why Tories used this argument against Gordon Brown? Boris went to the people to get the mandate too. It’s the unwritten “honourable thing” to do, so of course this government won’t. They have change policy which is why there is no mandate.

  2.  @pcat1378  my party? I’m centre left leaning independent 🤷‍♂️ (formerly Lib Dem leaning). Every time there’s a new leader or a significant shift in policy this happens. I was first following politics when Thatcher was ousted and John Major faced the same calls. So sorry you don’t like it, but that’s not the same as you being right. It’s all part of politics.

  3.  @pcat1378  hence I’m not a party member, though I must admit, getting the Tories out is a somewhat appealing prospect. You also have to realise even some sitting Tory MPs have called for a General Election, Nadine Dorries for one so it’s not just the opposition. General strikes are more likely to work and I suspect it’s where it will go next.
