I agree completely. Unfortunately some do not seem to understand the concept of a nuanced view of history.

@intello8953 it’s been discussed within biographies and history books, but definitely not in the Mainstream Media where everything is simplified to ww2. He is a walking contradiction. Cynically Cruel (authorising chemical weapons on civilian populations ), but also compassionate (one of the founders of the welfare state). I for one would like a proper debate. I’m not adverse to removing statues, but I’d prefer better understanding of who he was before we decide. And no, I’m not singling out Churchill, the same applies to all public figures.

@noelpucarua2843 the first bit you seem to blame Churchill for a massed Web of geopolitical negotiations that were broadly agreed by all “major” powers, and included the involvement of the other governments. He carries a share of the blame, but so do many many others. For the rest, completely I agree. He was a person who did bad and good.
