  1. This was October 2012 the start of the 2012 federal fiscal year. The deficit for that years budget was at 1 trillion. Under Obama by 2013 the deficit shrank to 679 billion, 2014 - 485 billion, 2015 - 438 billion, 2016 - 585 billion, 2017 Obama's last budget - 665 billion. Now Trump has policies that according to the right "grow the economy" has increased deficits back to a trillion in the last fiscal year end. Trump will sign his budget for this year and we will be back to a 1.4 trillion deficit that we had in Bush's last budget, and Romney voted yes on that budget.
