Yes because those found in semi trailers and tossed over walls are a direct result of Trumps hard line policies denying legal asylum, like his remain in Mexico policy.

It was Trump violating immigration law. Remain in Mexico is not a law it is a policy that violated the law. That is Trump deciding policy not Dems. The law was written 40 years ago.

For what charge?

@mattycakes1161 remain in Mexico was being used against legal asylum seekers using a port of entry. Learn our laws and the subject matter if you can see through the hate and propaganda.
1
@mattycakes1161 that's the same arguments Trumps lawyers made in two separate court hearings and they were both proved wrong. The third country rule does not apply to any of the counties south of the US. We would need a treaty to show they can provide a safe haven. We only have that treaty with Canada. Asylum seekers still have a legal right to come to the UE and make an asylum claim and go through the process. The Right doesn't get to assume all asylum claims are invalid before they are made. Asylum claims are not limited to war that is a refugee and there is a difference.

@mattycakes1161 It does not apply everywhere as a Trump appointed judge tossed out that argument 3 years ago. There are laws and asylum seekers you've never read one. They still get to come and make there case if they do not qualify they are returned. The right is denying that right.
1
@mattycakes1161 and if they are requesting asylum there are different rules. We have laws and treaty obligations for people on need. These are people you've been instructed to hate and fear by your puppet masters so they can pursue their plans of undermining laws to help those people. Immigrants use the option of crossing the border between check points because the Right is trying to stop legal asylum through check points. Open your eyes and get a clue. If they are seeking asylum and crossing at any point. There is no penalty and it in no way interferes with their ability to become a citizen or legal immigrants. Stop assuming you know laws you have never read.

It's not closed to legal immigration idiot.

The Right is just clueless on our laws and think they should represent their hate.
1
Because remain in Mexico violates US code 1158 section 1225.
1
@QwkDraw Wrong it covers who ever is with in jurisdiction, not citizenship. Use some critical thinking my God. We have millions of non citizens in this courtly who are here legally, so yes all laws would apply to them. Try reading your constitution. it's called the 14th amendment.
1
@c-bass413 My response is spot on. I was not reading SCOTUS decision, that was based on Biden's right to remove the policy. I was reading the law, and the Supreme court did not rule on the law itself. Under that law those who pass a creditable fear interview are to be detained in the US. Remain in Mexico was not allowing that for any asylum seekers. That is a violation of our law and international treaty.
1
Why have laws if Republicans continue to find ways to ignore them to fit their own agenda?
1
@QwkDraw try applying for it.
1
My God what a clueless comment.
1
I hope so, at least they wont be as low informed of voters that Trump supporters are.
1
@QwkDraw I did. Kind of a stupid question.
1
No Trump did.
1
My God you people just have no clue what is going on or how our laws work. Remain in Mexico was violating our laws forcing those who are legally requesting asylum through a port of entry to remain in Mexico. It was doing nothing to reduce illegal immigration. And no the Right has no idea how to enforce our laws or what they are you sure don't have a clue how to secure a border.
1
No this is why you don't support US law.
1
@bjohnson1489 yes it does, read your constitution.
