He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42. Biden came into office with border crossings already at record highs for 5 months before taking office. What policies were working under Trump?

Immigrants who work here legally and pay taxes already help to fund social security without being able to draw from it. We wouldn't be able to fund it now without immigrant workers.

Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority use to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspends 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border. That leaves out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stops legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement that means many immigrants recross multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns is about 40% of border crossers.

Those policies that caused our borders to be backlogged and border patrol to be overwhelmed. Snatch the children away from the parents of legal asylum seekers as a deterrent to other immigrants coming to the border. 2. Snatch the children away from parents who are not asylum seekers crossing the border, who were in violation of 8 USC 1325 a misdemeanor that carries civil penalty. 3. Undermine legal asylum that allows immigrants to come o to our country in search of protections they can not get in their homes countries. 4. Force the asylum seekers who used a port of entry to remain in Mexico, were they are in reach of cartels, traffickers, and other crimes. According to 8 USC 1125 they are to be detained in the US if they pass a creditable fear interview for asylum. 5. Force title 42 to stay in place longer then needed for the health protocols, to stop the flow of legal immigration at the border. Causing a backlog of asylum seekers that by US law have to be processed. What is it the Right is doing to keep immigrant children out of danger? Not a damn thing.

When has the Right done anything to help with either those in need at our border or those in need in this country. What are you going to do give the homeless a tax cut? The Rights job is to complain about the efforts the Left into helping immigrants, and homeless not come up with ideas of your own to fix the problem. Your ideas will be to always punish those in need, while you attempt to stop those taking advantage of policies to help the needy.

@nancyking9033 Once the government turns children over to a vetted sponsor or a family member, that is the end of the governments responsibility to the children. They have a policy of placing a checkup phone call after 30 days, and make 3 attempts to contact. The child or guardian is not required to return the call. There was a percentage reported of how many of those check up calls, that did not contact either the child or guardian. Someone in the media used that percentage and multiplied by an assumed number of children in the program, and came up with that number to feed a narrative that they were all lost, on the street, or being trafficked. All to trigger a bunch of morons who watch too much propaganda and are triggered after watching "Sound of Freedom". There's a Dark side of Human Trafficking you Fail to Consider.
