With title 42 gone we will be able to enforce our immigration laws to the fullest. Title 42 has no legal deterrent or penalties and is not an immigration law, it only places them in expidited removal. It does side step those title 8 laws and why the Right wants to use it to undermine asylum, but that also removes the ability to enforce deterrents in title 8.

@AwkwardTruths That was the Rights intention was to use this health authority law, not to keep us frrom spreading covid, but to undermine laws they feel are loopholes and reduce the number of asylum seekers. We could have cut down the number of crossing by enforcing title 8 laws that were already reducing southern border crossings.

@AwkwardTruths We had a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000 a 20 year high. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42....
