  3.  @jasonsworld333  You are speaking about the third country exception with in our laws. That does not apply to any country south of the US, as it requires a treaty stating that the third country can provide a safe haven "pursuant to a bilateral or multilateral agreement". We have one with Canada, but not any other country in this hemisphere.

  4.  @Gil172  Title 42 suspends all title 8 authority. That leaves out any legal penalty for immigrants crossing the border. All we can do is deport and they are free to cross again without any stiffer penalties under 8 US code 1325 or 1326. If Title 42 was lifted we would be able to deter them using our laws, but this is an attempt by the Right to undermine legal asylum.

  8. You clearly do not know Asylum. You have to be on US soil to request asylum.

  13.  @butbunwin3107  Title 8 is an immigration law title 42 is not. 42 has no penalty so they just come right back in this overwhelms our border agents. Title 8 has a penalty and deterrent for those who recross. No one is putting migrants in jail under title 42, only under title 8 is there a penalty.
