  19.  @jordanshilander487  following immigration law that Trump was violating that caused the destruction of a process that had reduced southern border crossings for 17 years to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump policies. It took Trump all of two years to double the number of people crossing the border. And its still a mess, because he didn't work out a plan that was working with the laws in place. Biden still has to deal with removal of remain in Mexico, that is causing mist of the problems and is still a policy that violated immigration law.

I was being specific to immigration laws and the Rights ignorance of them and willingness to ignore them because of their hate for brown people. Now addressing your second deflection so don't blame me. Kids were detained by Obama as that is required by law with unaccompanied minors just as it was with Trump. The difference being Trumps violation of US code 1158 with his zero tolerance policy. Those detainment centered were overtaxed by that policy that violated federal law by including children taken from legal asylum seekers. That made it difficult to meet the 72 hour dead line to move them outside of border patrol custody, to places around the US like Biden is doing now. Remain in Mexico was forcing legal asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their hearing, as per federal law once given a creditable fear interview they are to remain in US custody. Now they are on the side of the border where cartels and traffickers have easy access to them. You and the rest of the Right have no clue what our laws are or Trumps violation of those laws or anything of what is going on. You want to talk about being sued for Trumps policy, wait until the law suits start for his remain in Mexico policy. That policy will be gone by the end of the year if not by the end of the month, the paper work was filed last week.

That these are legal asylum seekers who had their children separated? They have a solid case, the Biden administration is looking at settling at a lower amount to save tax payer money. The amount of money being reported is made up and is not what has been officially offered to the plaintiffs. Did you know any of that?

The Right wing media added the illegal immigrants to their talking points. And we are being sued for Trumps violation of US code 1158. That code is specific to asylum seekers and the children Trump separated. If their are illegal immigrants suing, its due to the fact that violating our border is a misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty, yet they were still charged with a crime and separated under Trump.

By the way Trumps policy of making "everyone use the front door", violated US immigration law and was removed in federal court. His administration also failed to prosecute traffickers while he was in office, there are several articles on the subject.

Im also aware that we had a 17 year decline in southern border crossings to the lowest point in 50 years, prior to Trump and his policies. And the time Right was calling for a wall that was not needed or was it fiscally responsible. It was a rally call for the low informed who did not know what was needed to fix the issue were having. I know that under Trumps policies, within 2 years he doubled the number of people crossing the border by 2019 to 977,000 that year.

That is why we are being sued by immigrants. His remain in Mexico policy violates section 2351b of US code 1158. And is the reason for what is happening at the border.

I was responding to your comment, that the third country rule does not apply to Mexico, that is why are not fleeing to the nearest country. They are worried about escapes as many of the minors are runaways, they are being transferred to foster care or family services. It's does to make security easier for border patrol. I'm really not interested in opinions or personal perceptions. We have laws that were working. Trump failed to exercise immigration law and ran a hard-line approach to a humanitarian issue at the border, it failed. Biden will take us back to that legal humanitarian approach to border security that we had under Bush and Obama.
