@lonnykelly8054 the white house releases number they are given to them by the same group that makes this calculation for the entire government under any administration. To claim their is a problem with the numbers with no evidence to support such a claim is what keeps the Right ignorant low informed and stupid. Take your pick.

@trevorhart545 and under Trump they were overflowing due to an illegal policy that violated US code 1158. He was separating children from legal asylum seekers until federal courts stopped it. Under Biden they are overcrowded due to covid restrictions. Biden is following immigration law. The majority of those crossing now are unaccompanied minors and families seeking asylum. Under Trump 80% of those crossing were single adults. We have had a surge ever since Trumps policies and his departure from immigration law, look at the 2018 numbers before covid.

@dylanclay2741 other than following existing immigration laws that have been in place for 40 years what has Biden done differently over the last 11 months. What policies that were actually working under Trump would have stopped this? Softball questions, lets hear the Right wing answer.

@otisspunkmeyer9339 I've seen many video clips from the Right about the border too and in not one was the correct facts in context or a discussion to right wing viewers as to what our written laws state and how they should be applied at the border. Not one discussing how Trumps clear violation of those laws had dismantled a process that was working under the previous two administrations.

@dylanclay2741 Thank you for proving my point the right does not know the law or what's going on. Releasing immigrants into America is legal. Care to be more specific with that claim as to demographics and legal differences between those coming to this country. And maybe understanding the difference between immigrants and illegal immigrants. Yes Trump was doing it too, even though the Right wing media only lost their minds under Biden. Look it up May of 2019. It's part of the legal process to move children out of border control custody within 72 hours. Trumps policies also caused Mexico to pass several local laws to refuse deportations of non Mexican citizens into areas that can not handle the influx causing border patrol to move them to other areas for deportation. also meaning if they test positive for covid they need to be detained in quarantine. The Supreme Court only refused Biden's request for a stay on the Texas order. That Texas order was not about the legality of remain in Mexico, but in the way Biden abruptly stopped the policy without following legal procedures. Biden has remained in compliance with that order and the time frame allowed, He has also already released a new request to satisfy the Texas courts concerns about two weeks ago. Remain in Mexico will be gone soon, it violates US code 1158 section 235b1. Trumps use of the third country rule for those crossing through Mexico, was removed by a Trump appointed judge about 3 years ago. It also did not meet criteria including the fact that we need to have a treaty with Mexico that they can provide the safe haven necessary. We have that with Canada, but not Mexico. To seek asylum all they have to do is be on US soil ans request it. It is than our obligation to vet and verify their claim prior to deportation or to keep them here in country if they pass a creditable fear interview. That has been law for over 40 years and was working before Trump and his failed policies. Trump got lucky with covid as a border issue and that is it. Why can't you learn any of this at the border or by your media?

The context of the settlement and the claim that they were illegal was made up. We are being sued by legal asylum seekers according to the initial report that was used by the rest of the media. The Right wing media inserted the word illegal. This is a laws suit for Trumps separation policy that violated US code 1158 and was removed in federal court 3 years ago, in East Bay Sanctuary vs Trump. Biden's administration is looking to settle out of court to save tax payers money. that settlement of 450K was released in the initial report and never confirmed by any media. The Biden administration had to go and explain to the plaintiffs that the media's false claim was not on the table for any amount close to that. It is your media and the Rights complete ignorance and unwillingness to be informed on these issues that is costing tax payers. Context is not your friend.

Learn who is legal and who is not instead of labeling all illegal. Learn The demographics of who is coming to the border and what laws and policies apply to each.
