yes we need to be triggered about a bill that allows for a grant for immigrants to use for defense lawyers.

Looks like they are thinking that immigrants deserves to have a lawyer to defend the charges against them.

Yes whan did your home have immigration laws and treaty obligations that include asylum?
2
@drewdrew7968 why, when it's true in this case?
2
What part of thus bill disgust you?
1
@Morrisonsgirlfriendforever1971 In this case that would be correct.
1
@Morrisonsgirlfriendforever1971 it would seem that the Right would include legal asylum into that definition.
1
What does thus new law do that you don't like?
1
Plenty if doubt. There is no doubt the Right wing base is easily manipulated and gullible

Triggered by a law that creates a grant to hire defense lawyers.

Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority used to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspended 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border after deportation That left out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stopped legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement many immigrants re-crossed multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns was about 40% of border crossers. We had a 11 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42.

How much would it take to a Trump supporter to actually take 30 seconds to do an independent search of a law and see that the Right is lying as they always do?

@MistressMary...22-u9j by providng a grant for a defense attorney? Stop being so easily manipulated by your puppet masters.
1
How can a state bill protect an immigrant form deportation, when states don't have that authority. The Right just lies about everything.
1
@Yanks4life99 have you even read a law?
1
Now tell the truth and what the bill does.
1
@phatplates It pays into a grant that will fund defense lawyers for immigrants.
1
Liar.
1
Because the Right is easily manipulated by your puppet masters and the rest of us take the 30 seconds to look at the bill and know the Right is lying
1
What about this new billing insane what don't you support about the new bill?
1
@7c8f9x Because we are not as easily triggered about a law that pays into a grant for defense lawyers for immigrants.
