Yes when you see this I think of Trumps zero tolerance policy and his remain in Mexico policy. Good thing we got him out of office we just need to stop his failed policies that caused a refugee crisis at the border.

@WARFFACTOR1 Open border is right wing for not having a clue what our immigration laws are. Trump had no accomplishment at the border. We had a 17 year decline in border crossings to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his failed policies. within two years Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing in 2019 to 977,000, a 20 year high. He only had a reduction in his first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020 it has remained a 20 year high and growing ever since under those policies. Biden is not following policy he is following INA laws that were written 40 years ago and were working before Trump. Title 42 is still in place making it more difficult and inflating numbers of border crossings. The Right wants title 42 in place as it is now, that is causing these issue with cartels and trafficker. along with remain in Mexico that forces asylum seekers to stay in Mexico in the hands of traffickers and cartels, and not one of you can use the critical thinking to understand this.

@1SaltyGirl yeah after separating children illegally with a policy that violated US code 1158. He didn't start doing it at entry until the last 6 months of his administration.

@1SaltyGirl Wrong, Obama did not have a child separation policy for legal asylum seekers or families that violated US code 1135. They were detained together and deported or put in to the asylum process. The Trump policy to separate children from asylum seekers was in violation of US code 11158 and stopped in federal court. and Trump was the only President to separate children in family groups for the misdemeanor of crossing the border. Until he stopped it in late 2019. His DNA swabs began as an attempt to reunite the children he separated. That is why we had a settlement for immigrants for 450K.
