  1. With Biden continuing to use title 42 means no one us being admitted through check points. We are taking in unaccompanied minors as we should. If someone crosses between check points and request asylum based on creditable fear them they legally get a chance to see an asylum agent to be screened. If they care found to have a creditable fear they are to remain in the US force hearing. Anyone else caught crossing ate put into deportation proceedings. Mexico recently passed a law not allowing us to deport non Mexican citizens back into Mexico. That means they have to be detained here until we can fly them home. This all vegan about 6 months ago when apprehensions went from 58k-72k from September to October. We continued to have the highest number of apprehensions for those winter months going back 20 years. By January we were at 78k. The increase in February is in line with historical increases for this time of year in addition to the increase in unaccompanied and family units. We still are not even as close to being as bad as we were in 2019. Biden correction back to following immigration law that was being violated by the previous administration is going to take time to correct.
