There are several articles from that year including when Trump relocated them to New York in the middle of the night and Blasio criticized it and another when Trump was sending them to Florida and DeSantis told the press about calling up the WH and talking to Trump about it. And southern border crossing went from a 17 year decline to the lowest point in 50 years, prior to Trump and his policies and then he doubled it to 977,000 a 20 year high within two years in 2019 under his policies. It was reduced for only the first half of 2020 due to covid and title 42, before reaching a record 20 year high again in October of 2020 and it has remained at a monthly record high ever since. And that is with the wall he built still in place with more added and with remain in mexico in place and with title 42 and covid in place. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I have heard of "Remain" in Mexico policy. It violates 8 US code 1158 section 235b1b of our INA laws and international treaty on the treatment of Asylum seekers. Biden was forced to reinstate the policy by a federal judge because he did not use the correct procedure in removal of the policy. The law states once given a creditable fear interview and passing it, they are to remain detained in country. The number of those do show up for their court date, Right wing claims that you are regurgitating in misinformation and there is no evidence to support that claim, the number is between 85-90% depending on year. It is perfectly legal to cross a border between check points of a safe haven country and request asylum without penalty as long as you immediately seek out a border agent, also part of US code 1158. Trumps administration violated that policy with the child separation. If someone is avoiding detection than they are not asylum seekers and they are put into deportation proceedings. They still have to be interviewed and pass it before being able to get a court dater, just as they always have. Just like in this video clip. I know far more about what is fact and going on at the border then you will ever know, because your not looking to be informed. You are right that those number wont be going down for a long while to bad we had Trump instead of someone who understood what we needed. The only bright side is now the number of single adults are down to 60% of the number of immigrants crossing and not the 80% under Trump.

I don't remember in the law where it says we can rescind all asylum claims because the Right wants to assume all cases are invalid before they reach the border to make them due to Right wing rhetoric of fear and hate. That's why we have laws so asshats on the Right can't just ignore them when it suits their narrative. entrance requirements are exactly as I stated. Sorry the law doesn't agree with the narrative you want to make up try reading the law instead of making it up and assuming you're correct. You'll find it doesn't match up with your feelings.
