Pass the senate border bill.
3
JD Vance talks out his ars. How did Harris do those things when she was not in charge?
3
That's to be the stupidest question Ducey has asked yet.
3
This bill if passed would close the border today legally.
3
@hanyolo2041 because he wasn't a Democrat, and as soon as the party rejected him he wants far to the Right as he could for more attention from the Right. The same people who all loved what he was saying yet would never vote Democrat.

Title 42 suspends all title 8 laws and authority use to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right is using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspends 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border. That leaves out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stops legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement that means many immigrants recross multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns is about 40% of border crossers....

How about not allowing the Right wing leadership to undermine our legal enforcement at the border.

We ate already seeing the consequences of a low informed and easily manipulated right wing base.

How about getting out of a right-wing bubble and learn our laws and the process of immigration.

@autumnryn That's just not even close to being true.

Try reading all our title 8 immigration laws and not cherry picking one that has nothing to do with our asylum laws that he is following and Trump as violating and the GOP continues to undermine and ignore.
3
@jhad3n Yes I have. What part of my comment did you not understand, I get it your a Trump suppoerter and probaly didn't understand it, but try and use some critical thinking.
3
@MadSceintist My comments are easy to verify in full context on the CBP website and in our INA laws that have been in place for 40 years. You can find the memo in PDF written by Trumps border cheif that was sent out to allagents on how to process immigrants under title 42. But go ahead and give me your facts that can refut anything I wrote.
3
That would be a violation of our 40 year asylum laws and international treaty obligations. The Right needs to stop undermining the law and blaming Biden for following them, and have the balls to write the legislation to change them in congress.

@catherinequigley569 The Right just needs to stop undermining legal asylum and go back to what we had before Trump and the GOP made a mess of the border.

@patriciahayden8955 Trust me this is the short answer. Trumps policies were violating 40 year old US immigration laws and international treaty obligations on the treatment of refugees and asylum seekers. This is a result of the the Rights agenda to undermine legal asylum that they feel is a loophole in our laws. 8 USC 1158 is our asylum law. The Right call it an open border policy, catch and release. That change in policy took us from a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years, where we had a more orderly process, prior to Trump and his policies. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of southern border crossing to 977,000 a 20 year high. That was after his child separation policy that violated the law and was reversed in federal court, and caused an increase in unaccompanied minors. then remain in Mexico, a violation of USC 1158 section 1125, used to slowed the flow of legal asylum at ports of entry. Forcing them to wait in Mexico at the hands of cartels traffickers and other crimes. Causing more children sent unaccompanied. Increasing trafficking instead of brining them in where they are to be detained in our safety, by our laws and treaty obligations. Then title 42 that stopped all immigration, Republicans continue to use it past it's use to continue to undermine legal asylum. Causing the issues we have now.
3
@misterbeeps You should try reading a law and learning what is going on.
3
@idalily3810 To use that exception would require a treaty between the US and Mexico showing that Mexico can provide a safe haven for asylum seekers. We have one with Canada, but not any other country south of the US. A bilateral agreement is the wording in the law. Yes their asylum claims are legal, that is why the Right is trying to undermine the law. Yes I know immigration law, you do not.
3
@marylamb7707 no there is a difference between asylum and some one trying to avoid detection.
3
@arthurgibbons7401 I realize that is the propaganda you want to believe. I've been through this conversation there is no evidence of that claim.
3
@ziggywigg The increase began as soon as Trump created and started his policies and continued up to now, as many of those policies are still in place, because you know nothing.
3
Never happen.
3
There is nothing in the constitution specifically on the border. Our border laws were written by congress, the president has the responsibility of carrying out those laws.
3
If the Right were not undermining our current enforcement laws we wouldn't have a problem.
3
Yes he could go to the border and then that would give the Right something else to complain about.
3
Good job learning how the federal government works.
