@ScottyKirk1 We did we changed to Biden, and now title 42 is gone and we are back to following title 8 enforcement for the last few months. that still means they can come to the border and request asylum. If they are denied and deported and try and return they are now charged with stiffer penalties. That still is not going to change the numbers in a short period of time. They are still overwhelmed and underfunded. this is an issue congress needs to fix not Biden.

@why-jw3od Yes and the Right misused it as another tool to stop legal asylum, and then fought in court to continue using it beyond any public health need to keep out asylum seekers, they admit to doing it and have written laws to put in in place permanently. And while the right knew it was suspending the ability to enforce our title 8 penalties on those recrossing multiple times and made it impossible to process most asylum seekers. That overwhelmed border patrol. They blamed Biden for following the law that the Right has undermined since before title 42. This is because the right is full of immoral liars.

@melgillham462 Regardless of if the qualify they have a legal right to cross our borders and make the request without penalty. It is a misdemeanor to cross our border for the first time it carries a civil penalty and does not apply to asylum seekers. Tile 42 was being misused and forced in place by Steve Miller, and it was forced in place by republican fighting in court to keep it, far beyond the purpose of a health order.
