  4.  @bozmerz4358  That funny Scott...because Newsweek said border crossings are three times higher since Biden took office. Yes due to Republican policies that are suspending our legal enforcement at our border. By forcing title 42 to stay in place and that inflates border crossing numbers Trump was working to reverse the damage of Obama's (and Biden's) border policies that were in place when he was elected. Trump came into office at the end of a 17 year long decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years. After Trump put his policies in place southern border crossing increased to a 20 year high. From the Senate Web Page during Obama Admin: ""The rising crisis at the border is the direct and predictable result of actions taken by President Obama. He and his Administration have announced to the world that they will not enforce America’s immigration laws, and have emphasized in particular that foreign youth will be exempted from these laws. Name an immigration law and the statute they were not enforcing? The world has heard the President’s call, and illegal immigrants are pouring across the border in pursuit of his promised amnesty. Never happened. President Obama is responsible for this calamity, and only by declaring to the world that our border is no longer open — and that the law will be restored — can this emergency be stopped."" What the Right calls an open border is our asylum law that the Right does not want to follow. Biden and Harris have invited immigrants to "come" also. No they have not. They ended construction of the border wall and repealed President Trump's Remain in Mexico policy, which required US asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their applications were processed. The border wall was a rally call for the low informed and ignorant who have no idea what we need to secure our border. Remain in Mexico is a violation of 8 USC 1158 section 1225, and is still in place. The Democrats fought the wall for Trumps whole term, what does that tell you? Trump had majorities in both houses and Republicans were not giving him the money for a wall. The last timer the Right showed any fiscal responsibility.
