@carenjobe1228 I got my data from CBP website and actually doing the research over the past 6 years on border law and policy and not being a puppet for Right wing propaganda. Yeah those are problems learn how to not cause them by being low informed of the facts, and supporting the wrong people.

Title 42 suspends all title 8 laws and authority use to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right is using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspends 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border. That leaves out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stops legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement that means many immigrants recross multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns is about 40% of border crossers.... We had a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 9877,000 a 20 year high. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42.

@robinswiger1349 Most of you are too clueless and have never read an immigration law you are easily manipulated by your media and you reject irrefutable evidence and facts that don't fit the narrative you've been spoon fed.
1
@robinswiger1349 So tell me specifically what immigration laws you bothered to read that Biden is not enforcing? Show how smart you are, because we both know you have no clue what is going on. Stop acting as if you know something. why does the right insist on lying when none of you have a fing clue what our laws ?

You mean when southern border crossing were at there lowest point in 50 years at the end of Obamas administration and doubled under Trump with in two years?
1
@carenjobe1228 No the borders do not need to be closed our laws were working fine before the Right decided to unilaterally undermine them. What you call an open border policy is US code 1158 it is an asylum law that has been in place for over 40 years. you are triggered by Right wing media who is causing the problem.

@cherylpatton1977 bull sh it making up facts to cover up the fact Trump was disastrous at securing the border. When he clearly created a record high in border crossings And there was a marked and highly reported decline in Trumps DOJ of prosecuting traffickers. Not to mention the fact that Trumps policies were delivering legal asylum seekers to traffickers.
1
@cherylpatton1977 A lot of head lines say otherwise. "'I Thought I Was Going to Die.' How Donald Trump’s Immigration Agenda Set Back the Clock on Fighting Human Trafficking" DEBUNKING VIRAL CLAIMS Viral Chart Distorts Human Trafficking Statistics Federal Prosecution of Child Sex Trafficking Significantly Declined Under Trump Administration: Report QAnon followers say Trump is a savior for trafficked children, but the Justice Department has gone after fewer cases on his watch How Trump’s human trafficking efforts failed immigrant survivors Trump’s Human Trafficking Record Is Fake News The U.S. government has just released a highly anticipated human rights report that whitewashes the effects of its own policies.
1
@cherylpatton1977 you don't really think anything that is reported by Trump is really factual? You do bother to look for evidence to confirm those claims and just don't believe what your told even when proof of the facts don't support your opinion. stop being a puppet. and making excuses for one of the most immoral policies that used children as political pawns to trigger a hate filled base. This policy was reversed 5 year ago in federal court as it was in violation of US law and international treaty. stop defending the un-defendable and showing the world how low in morals the right has become.
1
@cherylpatton1977 funny how it was a claim from Trump that he is doing better at fighting trafficking, yet when his WH releases the data it shows a different truth. It's not what the MSM is reporting. it's what Trumps WH was reporting that contradicted his verbal claims. and that's what you decided to agree with.
1
@cherylpatton1977 Yes you did that is where that information came from was Trumps mouth making it up and then it becomes Trumps supporter fact reported on Trump news agencies for you to ingest. it is not factual information. Do you understand? Trumps said trafficking is better under him. His own WH released a report saying the exact opposite. Get a clue.
