With title 42 gone we will be able to enforce our immigration laws to the fullest. Title 42 has no legal deterrent or penalties and is not an immigration law. It does side step those title 8 laws and why the Right wants to use it to undermine asylum, but that also removes the ability to enforce deterrents in title 8.

@MrBadjohn69 We had a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000 a 20 year high. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42....

@MrBadjohn69 because by US law and international treaty it is legal to cross the border of a safe haven country and request Asylum without penalty. It's been that way for over 50 years.
2
@MrBadjohn69 looks like you need to go learn our laws and the process and learn the difference between asylum and those trying to avoid detection. Seems like you have no understanding of our immigration procrss at all, but that is normal for the Right.

@priscillapurebottom734 no different the Right wing media's propaganda clips played on YouTube. Mine are at least accurate and factual.

@MrBadjohn69 Port of entry is irrelevant for asylum. That's been our law for over 50 years no matter how much the right wants to ignore or undermine our laws. The Right wants to package everyone into one box and treat everyone as if they are all criminals and the Right will punish those in need in order to attack their fear and hate. And then you guys make the issue worse in your attempt to fix it. Thats why we went from a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to a 20 year high in two years after Trump took office. Right wing policies created this. If they are avoiding detection then they are not asylum seekers. The Right has made sure to remove the right to assylum for everone, so that's why they are coming between check points instead of requersting asylum. That and the fact the right keeps telling the world the border is open.

Because it's already been established that you don't have a clue what our immigration laws are or the process. The only ones ignoring our immigration laws are on the Right.
1
@user-te9ut7ms4l The Right doesn't want to follow the laws we have, so they should write new ones or fund the DHS so they can do the job.

There is no open borders, the Right calls our asylum laws that have been in place for 50 years an open border policy to manipulate their low informed base.
