That yes it is legal to cross between check points and request asylum. US code 1158. Trump violated that law by criminalizing legal asylum seekers. His policy was stopped in East Bay Sanctuary vs Trump. The Right has no clue what or laws are and what is going on because your media is lying about everything at the border.

@lgsprings5623 but please do explain in her first question, how he is able to predict the future of how many will be deported by the end of the year. Her following two questions were irrelevant. She wouldn't allow an answer and she won't allow context. Then she makes a claim that is made up. With no evidence to prove that claim. Then she can't explain a got away correctly a question that has been asked and answered in this hearing several times.

It would not be possible for anyone to have that answer, and I'm sure that question was never asked by the GOP under Trumps record levels of border crossing. The claim of Open border is a right wing talking point for ignoring asylum laws. It's equal to saying you don't know our immigration laws.

Start with the lie that they are required to use a port of entry. The lie that if they don't use a port of entry their asylum claim is not valid. The lie about Biden flying illegal immigrants all over the country while leaving out that Trump did the same and it's due to our immigration laws. Or the handing out of phones to immigrants. Or the 4150k settlement to immigrants. All very easy to read our laws and policies to learn your media has lied about everything at the border. Remain in Mexico is a clear violation of the law. As many on the Right have proven. Asylum seekers are to be detained in country after passing a creditable fear interview. Trump was denying that and remain in Mexico continues to violate that law.
