@dennisg4053 What part of that being a made up number that has no basis in fact, nor is it relevant to our asylum laws confuses you? That was the same stupid argument Trumps lawyers made when they lost in Federal court and Trumps zero tolerance policy was reversed. So the Right wing plan is that because they believes no asylum claims are valid (before they are made), we should not allow anyone to request asylum. This why we have laws and don't govern by rhetoric and right wing hate.

My point that your small brain could not understand was that it is the Right who is causing the open border and the reason why there is no legal deterrent to those crossing. But all of this requires you to use some critical thinking to understand.

@m6a1u57 We had a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years, prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled that number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000, a 20 year high. But Republicans like to act as if the border appeared in 2020. Trump only saw a reduction in the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before southern border crossing increased back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. When it shot from 50k per month in September to 70k in October. It remained a 20 year monthly high and growing ever since under those failed policies. Like remain in Mexico and title 42, that inflates border crossing numbers to almost 40% crossing have crossed before. And with title 42 there is no enforcement to deter them from crossing. Biden is following the same laws that we've had for 40 years and gave us a 17 year decline, before Trump unilaterally undermined those immigration laws.

@robertallred4515 LOL Trumps Remain in Mexico POLICY is not a law and in fact it violates 8 USC 1158 section 1125. How soon you forgot a judge did not rule on the policy, but on the way in which Biden was removing Remain in Mexico. And forced Biden to follow the "administrative procedure act". Yes don't waste your time trying to find something you are incapable of finding as you have no fing clue what our immigration law are or have you bothered to read one. If you had you would know that the law in question is 8 USC 1135 and 1326, and both are suspended under title 42 that the Right is fighting to keep in place leaving no legal deterrent at the border. But that's too much for you to understand.
