That starts with the Trump administrations policies that were immoral and in violation of US law and international treaty. Those polices are still affecting the border and is what caused this crisis. Biden has the authority to carry out laws passed by congress, he is doing that. Repulbucans do not suupport those laws and have been undermining them since Trump took office. That is what is causing the problems.

All it did was make the job of border patrol more difficult as with title 42 they have to deport the same immigrant over and over as there is no legal deterrent othert then expidited removal. Under title 8 we would be able to charge them for a crime on their repeat crosisng attempt. Get your head out of your hate and ignorance and learn what is going on. Apprehension number go by the federal governments fiscal year. 2017 was a 50 year record low at just iunder 450k 2018 was an increase to over 500k, but in line with the decreasing numbers over the past 17 years. 2019 was a record high of 977,000. 20200 due to covid took a big dipdown aroiund 450k again, but by October we wer back to a 20 year monthly high and it has rermained a monlth high ever since. Due to tiltle 42 and remain in mexico and Trumps hardline policies that were in violation of US immigration laws and international treaty. it's not hard to understand if you cut off access to asylum at the ports of entry they are going to come through the border. Title 42 does not have a legal deterent and they are free to recross without penalties that are in title 8.
