@daddukes2110 June of 2020 a Trump appointed federal judge ruled that Trumps use of the third country exception was in violation of the INA. Most of Trumps immigration policies were in violation of the INA laws.

It does side step those title 8 laws and why the Right wants to use it to undermine asylum, but that also removes the ability to enforce deterrents in title 8. We had a 17 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000 . He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42....

He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. Biden came into office with border crossing already at a monthly 15-20 year record high for 5 months strait.

@daddukes2110 lol your just adorable trying to teach me asylum law, as if you have any clue. They have a right to cross the border and make the request without penalty that is US law and international treaty for over 40 year, if they do not qualify they are deported. That is 8 USC 1158, the Right calls it an opne border policy to trigger their base. Republican's are trying to undermine that 40 year law and in doing so caused this crisis, while the right wing base sat in its ignorance of the law and what is going on.

@daddukes2110 really Trumps zero tolerance policy reversed in federal court and stay of order denied in appeal. Third country rule reversed by Trump appointed federal judge. Title 42 that caused most of this crisis, removed, yet Republicans fighting in court for over a year to keep it in place even when it suspended any title 8 authority to deter immigrants. Remain in Mexico also a violation of the INA and international treaty, removed through federal court and not held in place by SCOTUS. You guys just make sh it up to fit the narrative you want.
