Trumps policy was snatching children from legal asylum seekers was immoral and in violation of US immigration law and international treaty. it caused over crowding and poor health conditions and an inability to reach the 72 hour deadline to turn them over to family services. This caused more children to be sent unaccompanied. Trumps remain in Mexico denied entrance of asylum seekers who used a port of entry this also was a violation of our law. causing more to send their children unaccompanied. Then Trump put in place title 42, denied everyone access to our asylum process and just sent children back into the hands of traffickers. Trumps DOJ rercord on procecutiong traffickers dropped significantly while he weas in office. After Biden took office Tite 42 was changed to allow for unaccompanied minors to be entered directly into our asylum preocess, instead of just sending them back into danger. He has made this quite plain that this is his stance and so has this admin with their policies. Most notibaly our asylum laws in 8 USC 1158. Child seperations and "cages", flying immigrants to cities in the middle of the night, 450k settlements to immigrants. You can't name a southern border storythe right has produced that isn't fillind with inacruacies and misinformation to manipulate the base. At the same time due to our asylum laws we can not charge them for violating our boders. All we can do is send them back over the border, and they are free to cross again without pelalty. This is due to title 42. The trump administration had nothing sol;ved southern border crossings have done nothing but increase ever since Trump took office and created his immigration policy. i'm jusat going to stop at the first paragraph as the rest of your comment is just nonsense.
