Numbers are public and easy to find

The right wing media should be honest about reporting our immigration laws and the legal process.
2
@ItsEricAZ Stop making up claims about things you know nothing about.
2
@andrewgocken517 Anyone Flown in under that program under our asylum laws are still processed under title 8 enforcement, and that would be included in the annual apprehension numbers reporting that is also easy to find..
2
@jefferydraper4019 bull shit, repeating talking points from the lying right does not make it true. They are here under our asylum program meaning they were processed under title 8 usc 1158 and if they processed under title 8 they counted in our annual apprehension numbers just as they would at a check point.

@branchingoutnurseries4403 Title 42 suspended title 8 laws and authority used to deter and penalize illegal border crossing. The Right was using it to undermine legal asylum under 8 US code 1158. It also suspended 8 US code 1325; the misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty for crossing the border illegally. And 8 US code 1326; stiffer penalties for crossing the border after deportation That left out any legal penalty or deterrent for those crossing and stopped legal asylum, with few exceptions under title 42. Makes it difficult to enforce immigration laws when Republicans are fighting in court to undermine our legal enforcement. With title 42 suspending enforcement many immigrants re-crossed multiple times causing apprehension numbers to be inflated. The current rate of multiple returns was about 40% of border crossers. We had a 11 year decline in southern border crossing to the lowest point in 50 years prior to Trump and his polices. By 2019 Trumps policies doubled the number of people crossing the southern border to 977,000. He only saw a reduction for the first 9 months of 2020 due to covid, before it went back to a 20 year monthly high in October of 2020. It has remained a 20 year high and increasing ever since under Trumps failed policies and Title 42.

By repeating an easy to confirm fact. ever hear of the Great lakes?
1
@alexbratos2023 Don't know what to tell you. I see nothing but conflicting reports over many years. Some claiming Brazil and others claiming the great lakes contains 20%, and others claiming a lake in Russia. But lets not try and act as if you didn't see the same as I did.
1
@alexbratos2023 well it's no different than Canada that also claims to have 20% of the worlds fresh water due to the great lakes just as the many reports that Minnesota is due to the great lakes.. What's your point? His answer was clearly due to many posted claims that are vague and conflicting. It's not like he's trying to lie about every claim he makes about the southern border or how our immigration laws work. "This statement is not entirely accurate; the Great Lakes region, which includes a significant portion of Minnesota's border, holds roughly 20% of the world's fresh surface water; therefore, while Minnesota does have access to a large portion of this freshwater reserve, it doesn't single-handedly hold 20% of the world's fresh water supply. Key points to remember: Great Lakes dominance: The majority of the 20% fresh water figure is attributed to the Great Lakes, which span across several North American states, including Minnesota. "Land of 10,000 Lakes": While Minnesota is known for its numerous lakes, the vast majority of the world's freshwater attributed to the state is actually part of the Great Lakes system. "

@alexbratos2023 "The Great Lakes are often cited as holding the most freshwater because they collectively contain a massive amount of fresh surface water, representing roughly 20% of the world's total surface freshwater supply, making them the largest freshwater system on Earth; this is primarily due to their immense size and the fact that they were formed by glacial activity which filled their basins with a vast quantity of meltwater." "Carved by ancient glaciers, these lakes contain approximately 20 percent of the world's surface fresh-water supply and 95 percent of the surface fresh water in the United States,” explains Water Encyclopedia. “The Great Lakes waterbody is so large that its natural features can be seen from the Moon" "The Great Lakes span 4,530 miles1 of coast and account for 21 percent of the world’s freshwater. More than 30 million people rely on the Great Lakes for drinking water—10 percent of the U.S. population and 30 percent of the Canadian population."

@jackmeoff9299 Thanks for your in-depth research on the subject and regurgitating your puppet masters talking points.
1
@mzk123ify hurting your feelings doesn't make it wrong.
1
@jackmeoff9299 you mean easy to confirm facts that don't fit a narrative you want.
1
@jackmeoff9299 You mean now that we are under title 8 authority and not tile 42 authority where they could cross as often as they wanted without penalty?

@jackmeoff9299 Is rocket science where we make up claims with no evidence to back it up just because of feelings?
1
Yes so the problem is a lack of supply and not illegal immigrants.
1
@johnwong5317 ROFL Where are these 20+ million?
1
@johnwong5317 Where are these 20+ million driving demand? As we were under title 42 expedited removal from 2020-2023. Landlords started raising rent many years ago. I can go over my original lease and show you the increases over the past decade. Where is that Senate bipartisan bill that would take care of these issues?
1
@johnwong5317 what 20+ million immigrats are you lacking about?
1
@JR-rw9zp The GOP plan to stop illegal immigration was to stop legal immigration as well, and since the right wing base has no clue what our immigration laws are they do not understand the difference between who is here illegally or not. If someone is here legally under our asylum protection laws or here legally with a Visa, in Right wing lack of understanding of our law those are all illegals. Now crossing the border between check points for a non asylum seekers is a misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty> Do we consider Americans who violate misdemeanors as illegals or criminals?
1
@andrewgocken517 Everyone on the Right lies about the border and it's easily seen.
