The Right has unilaterally decided to undermine legal asylum. And have dubbed it as an open border policy and fed that buzz word to a right wing base who have no understanding of immigration laws. Trumps zero tolerance policy to separate children, Remain in Mexico, Title 42. All attempts to stop legal asylum under US laws that have been in place for over 40 years. Yet now using it to trigger a base that is now openly full of hate on immigrants and this hate is now fed by GOP governors feeding off of that for votes from GOP supporters who immoral views support separating children as a deterrent, use of lethal force, lying to immigrants to ship them to dem cities to stick it to libs, incarceration, placing them in the hands of traffickers. All because of immigrants who may or may not have violated a misdemeanor that carries a civil penalty. And the Right wing base just does not understand our law. Trumps immoral policies were violating US law by snatching children from legal asylum seeks as a deterrent. Harris was never appointed as border czar. There are no 85000 missing children and no they cannot use their drivers license to vote. The Right does nothing but lie.

Unlike his followers who believe everything he says without question, yet know nothing about immigration laws or the legal process that the GOP has been lying about for decades. They also said we have open borders.

  10.  @pl5994  i'm aware of the GOPS feelings about a loophole in the law in the law called an asylum process that the Right calls an open border poliy. When the Right ignore the process and refuse to fund the DHS to carry out our asylum process, causing the process to fail by underi mining that law. The Right wants to force a change, by causing the process to fail and deny asylum. That's what caused the border to be overwelmed and into a crisis created by the Right trying to do a better job and failing. By the Right trying to cloes the loophole with immoral policies that remove right to asylum for those in need to stop those who take advantage of the process. That is how the Right handle all their rhetoric and propaganda of fear to prey on or remove rights of those in need or who qualify just to stop those committing fraud. From voter rights, to welfare, and to our asylum porocess.
