The purpose of detaining or going to a secondary check point is to look for a probable clause, but this requires reasonable suspicion that they are required to tell you. Not answering the question is not responsible suspicion.

When he was interviewed he explained the regulations and tax increases. They were from the state and not Obama. He paid more taxes because he had a new source of income increasing his revenue. He lost customers due to a recession. As far as Obama raising taxes on small business owners I'd like to see some evidence of that. Obama's 2009 ARRA had several tax cuts and credits for small businesses and the middle class. 54 billion for tax deductions, credits and loan guarantees. By increasing deductions for equipment, cutting capital gains, tax credits for hiring veterans. "In the Fiscal Year 2011 budget, an additional $64 billion in stimulus money was allocated to extend many of the ARRA programs. It added tax credits for any new hires, and increase the Small Business Administration loan limits from $3 million to $5 million."

The stimulus was held up to make sure money went to workers first and not used for stock buybacks and executive bonuses, the Treasury secretary meaning the Presidents administration was against including it until Dems refused to vote on the Senate bill to have it included. Trump dismissed that restriction when signing the bill. The hold out also increased money for Americans out of work. Working with the President doesn't mean giving into every Republican demand, it mean a bipartisan negotiation to build legislation that everyone gets something and everyone gets something they hate about it.

As Blitzer said previous administrations had used the penalty of deportation with family units (assuming no other laws were being broken), in an effort to avoid separations. Under Trumps zero tolerance policy they are charging anyone that is violating 1325 with imprisonment to separate families as a deterrent and has caused a large number of displaced children to satisfy the assholes that support him. The bigger issue as discussed is that the zero tolerance policy was used to also separate and imprison legal asylum seekers. Under US code 1158 asylum seekers are allowed to cross the border between check points and request asylum. Trumps policy was in violation of this law and Homan continues to ignore this law and claims asylum seekers have to come to the port of entry. Federal courts have stopped this illegal policy. Wolf just wants to know what is to be gained by changing the policy that they know will cause more suffering for people that have suffered enough.

They are employers just like corporations, airlines, and cruise lines all of them have separate funding. The separate detailed section in the bill is because they are already funded by Congress. The 25 million pays for operating expenses and some wages while ticket sales are down due to the virus. There are provisions and restrictions on the use and reporting of funds. No I have no problem with this after reviewing the facts in context.

The increase in 2018 would be in line with normal border crossings considering the increase in number of immigrants. Trumps first immigration policies were in August of 2018,and 2019 is defiantly on him at 20 year high. 2020 low numbers were due to covid, but don't leave out that by October of 2020 monthly apprehension numbers were back to 20 year highs and have remained, under those failed policies. Dems wanted provisions to keep corporations from using it on buy backs and execute bonuses and didn't want the White House to decide what companies would get funding. Republicans refused to add it to the Senate bill. Pelosi in the House wrote their own bill with detailed specifics as to where the funding would go, knowing the Senate would never agree to it. That bill never came up for a vote in the House. It was a negotiation tactic. The White House finally conceded to the corporate concession in the Senate bill and it passed. Do you get it now?

Obama's fiscal year end was was on 9/30/2017 and Trump had had increased spending, but had done nothing by this time to stimulate growth and the unemployment rate was down to 4.2 The only division of this country under Obama came from the right wing rhetoric that constantly drove a out of context false narrative, and again has no comparison to the division under Trump and his sycophants. We may have had a slow recovery, but while Obama was in office we also did not build another bubble and have had a record number of months go by without going back into a recession.

Money for the Arts was approved by Trump. That money pays American workers and operating expenses just as the Corporate money in the bill pays corporate employees and operating expenses that are seeing damage from lost revenue due to the virus. The Christmas list of separate detailed issues in the House bill never came up for a vote, but it was used as a tool to get negotiations back to improving the Senate bill. The writing of the House bill did nothing to hold up the Senate bill, but it did help to write a better Senate bill with more money for Americans and hospitals, and attempted to get oversight for funds to corporations. The funds for the Kennedy Center were direct funds as they also employ people and add to the economy. Due to social distancing, no one is going to the theater, ballot, opera, and so on. If that policy was legal or worked to meet his goals there would be no need for him to rescind the policy. A quick Google search you can find East Bay Sanctuary vs. Trump that reverses Trumps policy that was being used to target legal asylum seekers, and you can find Homan defending that policy claiming these legal asylum seekers were in violation of US code 1325, because he was twisting the truth and ignoring US code 1158 that protects asylum seekers rights.
