  4.  @MrRee-rs5dm  I have a copy of all three stimulus bills, I know what was in the first one voted on Sunday and I know whats in the last one past by the Senate last night. I'm quite happy to have waited for 3 days to negotiate a better deal for workers and having the restrictions put in place on the funds for corporations. Do you have any evidence that isn't a true account?

  5.  @MrRee-rs5dm  this was an economic stimulus bill not a stop the virus bill. Funding for the arts was bipartisan and supported by Trump. They are employers just like corporations, airlines, and cruise lines all of them have separate funding. The separate detailed section in the bill is because they are already funded by Congress. The 25 million pays for operating expenses and some wages while ticket sales are down due to the virus. There are provisions and restrictions on the use and reporting of funds. No I have no problem with this after reviewing the facts in context.

  7.  @MrRee-rs5dm  Trump had very little to do with the process at all. The Senate would not get the votes they needed without Dems who held out for restrictions and more money for Americans. After three days of negotiations a bipartisan agreement was passed by the Senate then it went to the House and passed with ease. Then it went to Trump who then decided to add a statement to refuse to follow the restrictions on corporations.   8.  @ilovebreadtoo The Senate put up a partisan bill knowing they didn't have the votes to pass it. Dems wanted provisions to keep corporations from using it on buy backs and execute bonuses and didn't want the White House to decide what companies would get funding. Republicans refused to add it to the Senate bill. Pelosi in the House wrote their own bill with detailed specifics as to where the funding would go, knowing the Senate would never agree to it. That bill never came up for a vote in the House. It was a negotiation tactic. The White House finally conceded to the corporate concession in the Senate bill and it passed. Do you get it now?

  9.  @ilovebreadtoo  and that 1400 page bill with all those provisions was a ruse that never came up for a vote. That said there are 5 million jobs in the arts. And giving stimulus to the Kennedy Center would have been no different then the funding the Senate bill has for unspecified corporations. Solar companies and their employees also are losing work and need funding. The House bill was just more detailed.

  17.  @dns984  the Dems wanted corporate restriction above all. The partisan Senate bill did not have them and the Dems refused to vote yes. Mitch knew he didn't have the votes, but put it up for a vote any way. Pelosi and the House created their own bill that had detailed funding. They knew the Senate would not pass it and the House bill never went up for a vote. It was a negotiation tactic to get the corporate restrictions Dems wanted added to the Senate bill. The White House agreed to add it and the Senate bill passed. Pelosi has already agreed to the bill that is expected to easily pass in the House. Is all of that clear now?

  19. That's not what they held up for, they were holding up for restrictions to corporate funding. This was an economics package for workers not to combat the virus. The funds for the Kennedy Center were direct funds as they also employ people and add to the economy. Due to social distancing, no one is going to the theater, ballot, opera, and so on. You notice the media is getting people triggered over funds for the arts, but saying nothing about funds for cruise lines or the airlines.
