Trumps zero tolerance policy was to make it a crime and seperate children from anyone who crossed between check points for a violation of 8 USC 1325. 1325 is a federal misdomeanor that carries a civil penalty. His policy also included LEGAL asylum seekers who can cross between check points and request asylum under 8 USC 1158. Under previous presidents when asylum seekers or any non asylum familiy crossed between check points they were placed into detention centers together and processed together. Trump wanted to seperate as a deterent to other immigrating to the border. This immoral policy made conditions in child only detainment centers overcrowded and in poor health conditions and an inability to meet the 72 hour deadline to turn children over to family sevices of a sponsor. His immoral policy was revered in East Bay Sacntuary vs Trump. The Right is misreading the situation intenionally.

  3. I think it's quite understandable that the Right wanted Trump because he was uncompromising. That's been going on with the Right for long before Trump. They have just got to the point that reality, fact, truth, morality, and conservative ideals are ignored to meet that uncompromising position. It's the party of being against anything the left supports that's the only goal.

  4. No the Right is pretty clueless about the border and immigration. The misinformation from the Right wing leadership and media has insured that the Right is completely ignorant of our laws. And Biden was talking about allowing legal immigration by following our asylum laws, that Trump was violating and restricting with his policies.

  8. LOL and out of those policies we have nothing, but failures. The only success Trump had was increasing the deficit form 666 billion to 3.5 trillion. Trump also had the fewest immigrants crossing the border of the last 4 presidents, because he's a one term president. That's not an achievement.
