It's impressive they've got 140BHP out of a 1.0, especially considering the new VW 1.5 Evo engine only produces 148BHP.

I'd much rather have this than the Tesla. The only positive the Tesla has is the Super Charger Network, and even then, unlike the older Model S's it's not free to use. The Polestar is a Volvo so you know it's much better built and reliable than the Tesla.

Andrew R, Mom is historically used in the Midlands, especially by Brummies like Mat.
17
i-Drive is superb (speaking as a previous owner) but not having android auto is unforgiveable.
17
I had it on the Ioniq Hybrid and it was pretty poor. Seemed pretty inconsistent and the lane centering couldn't hold itself properly in the centre, ping-ponging between the lines.
15
I love the matte wood! Very Volvo
15
The blank panel where the start button is looks horrendous!
15
5:40 the huge, visible wire running to the rear view mirror looks SO cheap! How much more would it have cost to integrate it into the housing and hide it!?
15
Honda knocked it out of the park with this. I think this may have to be my next new car.
15
I would definitely have the Bentayga over this for the price.
14
I genuinely think I'd choose the ES. I used to own a GS300 and it was superb.
14
These are achingly cool! I think it would be much easier to steer if you had one lever for each hand.
14
+Het Kothari Hardly anyone takes their Discovery Sports off road - they're for School-Run-Mom's
13
Clorex Bleach The standard GTR also has a lot less power compared to the E63 despite weighing a lot less. There's nothing cooler than a fast estate!
13
Those decals look wank. Only a fan boy would buy this over a Civic Type-R. And if you must have a Golf you should just get the Golf R instead which is a better all rounder.
13
12:35 the Skoda model is blatantly checking out Mat's arse, they even change the camera angle to show it πππ
13
6:45 French Bulldog cameo!
12
Not sure why people would have this over the brand new Santa Fe.
12
I really like the look of this inside and out, but I wouldn't change my Kona Electric for one. Better range, much quicker and better equipped. They missed a trick not improving the battery size/range on the new Niro.
12
So it has the best part of the BMW's interior - infotainment, quality etc, but looks so much better outside! Toyota can't make decent infotainment to save their lives!
12
Doesn't even have bonnet gas struts like older Golf's.
11
I have a Kona Electric 64KW and I used to charge at home on a 2.2KW three pin plug. Now I have a charger fitted it's much better. I tend to keep mine topped up as if I need to go out unexpectedly at short notice I have a full range. Nothing is better than waking up to a full "tank" and not having to pay a fortune for fuel. I also have a second, petrol car and it just shows me how much nicer and cheaper having an electric car is.
11
AppleSick 78 it has 4 wheel drive, what do you expect?
11
@bigkahunaburger I don't give a toss what anyone else says π
11
The 300MPH top speed hasn't been proven yet, only in computer simulations.
11
The new alloys are hideous
11
Instead of telling us in every video you can save on average Β£3600 on a new car, why not just tell us how much you can save on the car you're reviewing? Surely it would lead to more sales for Carwow.
10
Volvo: best refinement, best styling, best interior, best technology, best space, best safety. Jaguar: best driving. Ford: best to buy used.
10
For those interested it's Β£190K and for that doesn't even come with massaging seats and instead of digitally showing the drivers speed it uses a janky stick on reversing camera with visible wires πππ
10
Same.
10
I pay for YouTube premium so these ads built within the videos are really irksome.
10
It looks like a DS7 Crossback from the front.
10
Β @x2e4Β partially copied but partially better!
10
I love the M1 and M2 buttons. Perfect for everyday driving. Setting 1 for absolute comfort and then setting 2 for all-out, guns blazing driving!
10
A true petrol-head, your point makes no sense compared to my original comment.
10
Liam O'Flaherty Congratulations! A member of the team will be along shortly with your prize.

The Volvo is the best car in this test. All day, every day.
9
This is currently the best estate car on the market.
9
This is so much better looking than the Kona. The rear especially looks brilliant.
9
The exposed wires going into the rearview mirror is an example of its poor quality.
9
Those alloys look they've come from a budget runabout. The whole design is something if you slapped an MG badge and EV badge on the back it wouldn't surprise people.
9
I can't believe you pay so much and yet keyless entry and go is optional! My 2004 Nissan Micra had it as standard equipment!
9
Β @Alex-wu6chΒ he's talking about the the door tops. He only motions and touches the door tops. I'm not complaining, just pointing it out as usually the editing is so brilliant.
9
The cheapest car with it is as standard is the new Hyundai i10!
9
Β @yanman12341Β it was SO cringey.
9
Β @Horizon301.Β I think you'll find Mat praises Kia and Hyundai's infotainment systems very highly. I now own a 2019 Seat Ateca (same system as the Golf) but last year had a 2018 Hyundai Ionic (same system as Kia) and as an owner of both, I can confidently say the Hyundai system was superior in every way.
9
Let's be honest, it couldn't have looked worse than the last model. The new Kia Ceed is much better looking and cohesive.
9
Good video. You need to pronounce Quadrifoglio correctly though!
8
GeXExtremist I hate fake exhausts, for design purposes or not they look shit, especially on the new C-Class.
8
Should have shown the hill climbs from the outside too.
