  1. I was addicted to Oxymetazoline sprays for years as I have a deviated septum and allergic rhinitis. I very, very rarely use Oxymetazoline now unless I am very badly congested. I have Nasonex Mometasone Furoate steroid nasal sprays on repeat prescription. You don't mention it in the list of steroids that cause side effects and my doctor tells me I can use it long term without issues. I found this video really helpful. I realised I was spraying it in the wrong place and also sniffing after spraying. It's a difficult 20 year habit to get out of though!
