@Jrv3192 in the past two weeks I've taken delivery of my first electric car. I'm a massive petrol head but even I concede that electric cars are nicer to drive and live with than a petrol or diesel. Everyone comments on how smooth, quick and quiet it is. Range is still an issue and I've kept my old ICE car for practical reasons. Although I personally think Hydrogen is the future of green motoring.

My ICE car broke down today. It had a very bad misfire and smoked when first started. Called the breakdown company and they said it has a stretched/worn throttle cable and the misfire is likely the coil pack. Then I thought about how much more reliable electric cars are - virtually no moving parts, no ignition system, no oil or smoke. When you think of the mechanical engineering involved in an ICE car it's surprising they're as reliable as they are!

8:30 they might wanna run that design past Lexus' lawyers - the back end looks just like the LFA, even down to the exhausts mounted in a triangular fashion.

@jamesthecat £240 later and the car is back on the road. It needed 4 coil packs, new spark plugs and the throttle adjusting. I've done 900 mile since getting my EV 3 weeks ago and it's cost me nothing as I have a free 7KW charger in my village. I'm saving £1440 a year in petrol!

@markscully2342 I'm fully aware of the fact it's not actually a clean fuel (unless from renewables) but it is nice not to be spewing out fumes in town.
