  1. Heat pump dryers are PROVEN to use much less electricity. If you can afford the expense then you should always choose a heat pump model.

  2. Miele are overpriced and unreliable. I had one of their washing machines with auto dose and it was a nightmare. Constantly leaking or not auto dosing. Got rid after a few months and went to back to Samsung. I've never had a single issue with any Samsung big appliance and they're the most economical on the market. My Samsung heat pump dryer is amazing. Everything comes out dry, it uses only 0.5KW on a usual cycle. My latest Samsung washer only uses 0.1-0.3KW per load!
