Wrong, everyone who finds himself below the supersonic path hears the boom, otherwise the noise problem of Concorde would not have been a problem.

@ffrederickskitty214 Sure thing pal, you are the only physics graduate who knows the truth about Sonic booms. I Guess they banned SST over the whole US and Europe because all those Who Heard the booms were not physics graduates.

@ffrederickskitty214 Utterly false. Yes people were complaining about the noise on takeoff, that's true, but Concorde cruised at 50-60 thousand feet of altitude, there is no way the noise from the engines was the problem. People all over the supersonic path started filing complaints for the booms and that's why countries started banning SST.
